City police responding to a report of a shooting in the 200 block of West Greenwich Street shortly after 7 a.m. found the two male victims with gunshot wounds, Reading police chief Richard Tornielli said.
Authorities didn’t say whether any suspects were arrested or identified, or whether the victims knew each other.
The investigation “remains active and ongoing,” they said.
They also asked that anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the Reading Police Department at 610-655-6116 or contact Crime Alert Berks at 877-373-9913.
